About TEC Materials Testing Division

TEC provides both X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) analysis systems and services for measuring residual and loading stresses created in metals and ceramics through manufacturing processes like welding, heat-treating, grinding electroplating, machining, and shot peening.

TEC is accredited by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) to ISO/IEC 17025 in the field of mechanical testing.

Among the benefits of TEC's x-ray diffraction analysis technique are the ability to measure large components without the need for sectioning. And, retained austenite measurements can be made on items such as bearings, gears and springs in less than five minutes.
