Rogers, MN, January 16, 2018– North Star Imaging (NSI) is inaugurating a new Inspection Services & Applications Laboratory in Marlborough, Massachusetts. On February 13 th , parties interested in digital X-ray and Computed Tomography (CT) are invited to visit this new facility to witness CT demonstrations done on the X5000™, NSI’s most versatile system.

NSI’s East Coast facility offers advice and support for existing and new customers to develop application specific solutions and supply inspection services. Typical inspection service requests include internal measurements, 3D CAD comparisons, defect, void and/or porosity analysis, surface reconstructions for reverse engineering, finite element analysis and failure analysis.
During the grand opening, guests will also have the opportunity to see demonstrations done by NSI’s sister company, Instron®, who are co-hosts for this event. Application engineers from Instron will showcase the latest static and dynamic materials testing solutions, including the company’s new built-for touch static testing software, Bluehill® Universal. In addition to demonstrations, Instron will also provide insight into best practices for materials testing.
